Moving away from Tampa to start on my MFA in Design at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, I decided to go out with a bang. I designed some fun invitations, glasses, and menus based around a party that was both bitter and sweet.
The dual-celebration honored both my move to New York and my friend Paul's birthday.
The video and animation work were done in the span of about four hours. The video was sent in an email as the initial invite announcing the party.
Printed, at a good friend's expense, were some beer glasses, which were given free to anyone who completed the tour.
Even the beers were selected to reflect a transition from both sweet to bitter flavors, while geographically moving from local Florida beers to distant New York brews.
